BOGO (Buy One Get One)

BOGO is a promotional format where a customer who purchases one product receives a second product free or at a significant discount, effectively creating a bundled value offer.

BOGO promotions appear in several variants: "buy one get one free" (50% effective discount), "buy one get one 50% off" (25% effective discount), and "buy two get one free" (33% effective discount). Brands use BOGO to move inventory in pairs, increase average order value, and create a perception of high value without explicitly marking down a single unit price.

For competitive intelligence, BOGO offers are significant because they can dramatically shift demand in a category. If a competitor runs a BOGO on their hero product, your sales of an equivalent product may drop sharply for the promotion duration.

GetStoreIntel detects BOGO promotions by analyzing site banners, promotional copy, and checkout discount structures across tracked competitor stores.
