Dynamic Pricing

Dynamic pricing is an algorithmic pricing strategy where a product's price is continuously adjusted in real time based on market conditions, competitor prices, demand signals, and inventory levels.

Dynamic pricing moves beyond static price lists and simple repricing rules. Instead of setting a price and forgetting it, dynamic pricing engines ingest dozens of variables — competitor prices, your own inventory velocity, demand forecasts, customer segments, and margin floors — to compute the optimal price for each product at each moment.

Rule-based repricing (e.g., "always undercut Competitor A by $1") is simple but dangerous: it triggers races to the bottom. True dynamic pricing prevents this by enforcing margin floors — hard limits that prevent the algorithm from ever pricing below your minimum profitable margin.

GetStoreIntel surfaces the competitor price data that dynamic pricing engines need: real-time prices, historical price charts, and promo signals.
